Yes, we thought Cody was getting better, but we were wrong. Cody began limping worse after getting better for a very short time. We called in the vet who told us he needed to go to OSU Vet Clinic.
First, kudos to Dixie for being the chaperone horse. Cody only loads into the trailer with another horse in there first. She enjoyed the ride to Columbus (or at least that's what we told her) "You WILL enjoy this ride. Eat your hay and be quiet. Cody needs you to be strong, so no calling out. Good girl!!" What?! You doubt that conversation actually took place???
The vet and techs were very impressed with Cody. They said he was the most stoic horse they'd seen. He didn't complain while they were poking and prodding. He is stoic, sweet, wonderful and fabulous.
Eric said the techs were at his head stroking him while the vet was looking him over. He nearly fell asleep. Yep, that's our Cody!!! We'll have them get him therapy for his narcolepsy while he's there......
We don't know how long he'll be there. It all depends on the xrays they'll take on Tuesday. The vet didn't seem to think he needed them right away. They wrapped his leg to get the swelling down and will go from there. I remain positive. He WILL get better!!!!
*The rolling terd looks a little out of place in this very fancy, pretty place. We're kinda used to that now. Our rusty old trailer amongst prettiness. LOL!!!

What a sweet, sweet horse. Those vet techs are very brave to be poking and prodding on such a large animal.
Thanks for the pictures--let's hope Cody's on the road to recovery!
Oh, Cody. I hope you feel better soon and have a good time at parties. Don't set your drink down at frat parties.
Get better soon Cody!
