February:

Our February is just as busy, possibly busier, than the holidays. We have two birthdays in our family, plus many of the kid's friend's birthdays are this month. EEK! Basically, it's a carefully orchestrated dance of scheduling and chauffeuring each weekend. Oh yeah, I forgot about the basketball practices and games, too. The past couple of weeks have had a few "extras" thrown in for good measure.
1. I got a head cold/chest cold that knocked me on my ass. I don't get sick all that often, but when I do, that virus means business!
2. George also got sick. He stopped eating and was acting very depressed. We tried a couple different things to get him back to normal, but the vet finally took blood work to learn George has a stomach ulcer!! It could be the influx of horses in and out, the weather, his "grandma" Dixie going to a new home.....who knows. He is now on the purple pill for horses, as the vet called it. He is doing much better, thankfully. However, the process of getting him there involved a lot of extra trips to the vet, extra trips to the barn and worry.
3. We've gotten 62 inches of snow. Ok, so maybe not 62 inches, but it seems like it. We like to play, but enough already!! On the bright side, I'm probably burning 300 calories trudging through all the thigh high snow getting to the barn!

So much freaking snow!!!!

SOME of the food assembled for Max's sleep-over. 11 year old boys can eat GINORMOUS amounts of food!!!

Max's last classroom birthday celebration. In middle school, I'm pretty sure he'd be embarrassed to have mom come in with cupcakes and a camera. Was he embarrassed THIS year with the camera and cupcakes? Absolutely. I live to embarrass my children.

Tell Max Happy late Birthday! He's almost a freakin teen! How is basketball going for him? I know it's not one of his BIG sports, but I'll assume he is probably kickin some ass.
